Updated Teklad Diets Shelf Life Guidelines
Quality, consistency, and nutritional stability are the cornerstones of successful research. After conducting comprehensive studies on vitamin stability and microbiological quality, Inotiv is proud to update the shelf life assurances for our Teklad Standard Natural Ingredient Diets.
These updates reflect our commitment to evidence-based standards, as these use periods are consistent with Teklad diet feeding practices in other part of the world. Beginning with diets produced June 1, 2026 and following, product packaging will include both the date of manufacture and an expiration date.
Why is this important? Researchers can be confident that nutritional integrity is maintained throughout these longer time periods, and there is opportunity for improved inventory management and reduced waste.
