The B-NDG mouse model is a highly immunodeficient strain that supports prolonged engraftment of human cells. It has been used in various applications, including tumor research, stem cell research, and infectious disease studies. B-NDG mice have been further engineered to introduce more human genes to support specific cell populations of interest, such as NK cells. These models are valuable preclinical research tools for studying the functional potential of human cells and assessing the efficacy of novel immunotherapies.
In this webinar, you will learn:
- Immunodeficient strain generated on the NOD.SCID background
- Null allele for PRKDC (involved in VDJ recombination)
- Mutations in IL2 receptor gamma (critical for lymphoid and NK cell development)
- Longer lifespan and minimal thymic lymphoma incidence
- No measurable IgG or IgM in serum
- Efficient engraftment of human cell lines and patient-derived xenografts
